What you will learn

The objective of the L1 Business course is to equip you with the practical skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the business world. 

Through a combination of hands-on projects, real-world experiences, and collaborative learning, you will develop key competencies in organisation, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, preparing you for further study or entry-level roles in the business industry.

The purpose of this course is to develop the transferable skills, attributes and behaviours needed to progress to further study. 

This progression can take many routes such as to a level two programme, other study routes or an apprenticeship, leading ultimately to employment.

Units are assessed internally using centre devised assignments. These assessment methods can include observation in work related situations, presentations, projects, role play, interviews or extended writing.

This qualification is available to be assessed through the medium of English only.

You will need a minimum of two GCSE grades at grades D-G to study this course. Those without formal qualifications will be considered following an interview and entry test.

All learners are required to pay an administration fee of £25 prior to enrolment.

You will need to provide your own stationery and may also incur costs if the department arranges educational visits.
