Building Independence Abroad: Students conquer Slovenian wilds in
life changing adventure

Students from Coleg Ceredigion have returned from Slovenia, in a trip which aimed to help them build independence, experience new culture and challenge themselves in nature.

Slovenia was chosen due to its majestic landscapes of forests, mountains and lakes and because it is very accessible.

In June 2025, two members of childcare staff – lecturer Lucy Davies and assessor Janice Short – accompanied five learners on a study visit to Montecatini in the Tuscany region of Italy.

Coleg Ceredigion’s Level 3 Year 2 Creative Media Production students are proud to present “More Than Cinema”, a special end-of-year showcase celebrating their creativity, skills, and ambition.

Three catering and hospitality students from Coleg Ceredigion have been selected as part of Squad UK and as a result, they will be in with a chance of representing the UK at WorldSkills Shanghai next year. The college wanted to know more about their involvement, future aspirations and their inspiration to study catering and hospitality, so we invite you to meet our Squad UK members.
