This is an entry level qualification for learners who have a keen interest in vehicle maintenance and repair and are looking to find work within the automotive or mechanical engineering industries.
This qualification has been designed to be practical, engaging and motivating, to support learners in gaining the key knowledge and skills typically required for automotive maintenance and repair careers.
The course is delivered in a purpose built facility, which has workshops equipped with the latest equipment and tools used within the motor vehicle fitting sector including a range of varied light vehicles and cars to practise common vehicle fitting tasks.

What you will learn
The programme is delivered by a team of experienced teaching practitioners, who are also vocationally qualified and occupationally experienced.
The course is delivered in a purpose built facility, which has workshops equipped with the latest equipment and tools used within the motor vehicle fitting sector.
There are several practical skill development teaching and learning aids and a range of varied light vehicles and cars to practise common vehicle fitting tasks.
This course is an enjoyable learning experience with an emphasis placed on developing practical skills in a simulated and realistic work based garage setting.

Learners who successfully complete this course will have the opportunity to progress further in the automotive environment.
Learners who develop a good practical standard could progress into a Level 2 Automotive Apprenticeship or a traineeship if they were to secure employment.
Alternatively the learner could progress to a Level 1 Automotive Full-time course to further develop their knowledge and skills in Automotive repairs.
Practical Assessment for each unit.
1 x Health and Safely Online assessment (Exam)
Students will participate in an interview and individual needs assessment and will be considered on the outcomes of these meetings.
All learners are required to pay an administration fee of £25 prior to enrolment.
You will need to provide your own boots and overalls for workshop sessions.
