Adding Alt Text is mandatory in order to upload an image to the website.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations:

Some third party documents that we have to have online for legal/best practice reasons (for example our Performance reports) are in PDF format and may not be fully accessible. Unfortunately we can’t change or remove these documents due to conflicting legalisation.

WCAG 1.4.13 Content on Hover or Focus

When hovering over the navigation bar dropdown menus (such as “Our Courses” and “Supporting You”), there is no mechanism to dismiss the additional content triggered without moving pointer hover or keyboard focus

WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (minimum): Elements must have sufficient colour contrast.

Elements in “Manage Settings” do not have sufficient colour contrast against the background image

WCAG 2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured (Minimum)

On the splash page at 200% and 400% zoom, the two different language links to enter the site are obscured by the cookie banner when they receive keyboard focus

Auditing and testing

We have installed the Axe Accessibility browser extension so that we can test and improve pages on a regular basis, as they are built or updated.

We will run an annual accessibility audit to ensure the website stays compliant.

Staff that maintain the website attend accessibility training and conferences to ensure they are up to date with best practice knowledge.
