Craft Festival Wales is a collaborative celebration of makers supported by leading arts organisations from Wales and beyond.

It will host 100 makers at Cardigan Castle from 5-7 September with demonstrations, workshops, activities, live music and satellite events hosted across the town.

One of these is Woven, hosted at Canfas Gallery where staff and alumni will be exhibiting in an exhibition of textiles and willow, curated by former art school lecturer, Suzi Park.

Nia Lewis, programme director for Carmarthen School of Art’s BA textiles programme said: “This is a highly respected and award-winning event and where many of our students might aspire to exhibit as designer makers in the future.  We are so lucky to have such a high-quality event on our doorstep.

“We are really pleased to be able to give them the opportunity to explore the current contemporary craft crafting landscape, show their work to a wide audience and network with the professional artists community.”
