Sir Gâr 6 is Coleg Sir Gâr’s dedicated sixth form centre where we offer A-level courses for students aged 16–19. Our ethos combines academic excellence with personalised support, helping you progress to top university destinations, apprenticeships, and diverse career pathways. Sir Gâr 6 in Llanelli, with excellent transport links across Carmarthenshire and surrounding areas.

  • Alps Gold Award - Coleg Sir Gâr’s A-level Sir Gâr 6 team has been awarded the Alps Gold Award which puts the college in the top 25% performing schools and colleges for A-levels in England and Wales.
  • Step-Up Programme with New College Oxford - The programme supports you in your academic progression with visits to and from University of Oxford.
  • Step-Up to Swansea University - The programme supports you in making the transition to higher education, it includes information and guidance on all aspects of the application and university life, as well as taster days, and a summer school.
  • Medical Field Programme - This innovative programme, delivered in partnership with Swansea University, offers hands-on experiences, inspiring university visits, and tailored support to help you explore a range of careers in the medical and healthcare sectors.
