Coleg Sir Gâr students launch new student led magazine

A talented group of students have launched their very own student magazine, Graig Dispatch — a bold new publication created by students, for students.
The magazine showcases original writing, insightful opinion pieces, and campus news, offering a powerful platform for students to express their ideas and creativity. Covering topics from politics and global affairs to student life and sport, Graig Dispatch is a true reflection of the interests and passions of the student body.
Highlights from the first issue include:
-
“Consequence of Conflict” by Gwenllian Carpenter – a thoughtful exploration of the impacts of war in the modern world.
-
“President Trump & the UK/US Relationship” by Samuel Swansborough – an in-depth look at how international politics have shifted in recent years.
-
“Graig’s Music Taste” by Olive Evans – a fun and insightful look into the campus’s top tunes and student favourites.
-
“Become a Pro in Judo at Graig’s Judo Club” by Joshua Randall-Webb – a spotlight on the popular martial arts club on campus.
The student-led project has not only given budding writers and designers the chance to develop their skills, but also brought a sense of pride and ownership to the college community.
Evie Somers, Editor-in-Chief, said: “Launching the Graig Dispatch and giving students the opportunity to express themselves via journalistic creativity has given me so much pride and joy; it’s wonderful to see this unique platform develop and prosper. We look forward to sharing future editions with students, our primary readership.”
