The vet physio leaning over a desk explaining some anatomy to students

Mae myfyrwyr gofal anifeiliaid yng Ngholeg Ceredigion wedi cael cipolwg ar waith ffisiotherapydd milfeddygol diolch i wasanaeth JT Veterinary Physio and Coaching, a leolir yn Aberystwyth.

Roedd myfyrwyr ar gymhwyster lefel tri, sy’n lefel cyn-brifysgol, yn gallu gwrando ar amrywiol astudiaethau achos go iawn a’u trafod, a dysgu sut y rhoddir ffisiotherapi ar waith yn ymarferol.

Bu perchennog y cwmni, Jennifer Lawrence, yn trafod rôl y ffisiotherapydd milfeddygol o ran cefnogi iechyd, adferiad a lles anifeiliaid.

Esboniodd hi am y corff proffesiynol y mae hi’n gweithio oddi tano, pwysigrwydd yswiriant priodol, a’r gofynion datblygiad proffesiynol parhaus (DPP) y mae’n rhaid iddi fodloni er mwyn ymarfer yn ddiogel ac yn effeithiol.

Fe wnaeth y sesiwn hon helpu dysgwyr i ddeall sut y caiff ffisiotherapi ei ddefnyddio’n ymarferol a’r effaith y gall gael ar les anifail.

Coleg Ceredigion animal care lecturer Chrissy Asplin organised the visit, she said: “As well as talking students through her career journey, Jen also brought along specialist equipment used in her workplace and gave learners a practical session to explore anatomical structures using an equine skeleton.

“This practical element helped to bring theory to life and allowed learners to actively engage with the subject.

“The session provided learners with valuable industry insight, inspiration, and a realistic understanding of professional expectations within animal care, supporting their ongoing studies and future career aspirations.”

As part of their course, developing strong industry links is vital for animal care learners, giving them the opportunity to engage with professionals working in the field and to gain a clearer understanding of potential career pathways.
