14-19 School - College Partnership Provision Fee Policy 2026 - 2027

Introduction

  • The College will charge the school per teaching hour at a rate of £87. This will be a standard rate applied for teaching in College, at an alternative centre or at the School. It is set at the UP2 teachers’ pay rate. Costs incurred for traveling to and from the School or delivery centre will be charged at a rate of 45p a mile. Schools are charged for delivery costs, registration fees, and consumable costs for each learner. Where a learner withdraws, no reduction in billing will be applied, as the delivery and associated costs are fixed and remain the same regardless of number of enrolments.

  • TRANSPORT

It will be the responsibility of the School to cover all costs associated with transporting the pupils to the College or other centres. In some instances, it may be possible for School to use College buses. This needs to be agreed in advance with the College.

    REGISTRATION

The College will pass on all costs associated with registering pupils with awarding bodies to the School in full.

    CONSUMABLES ETC
Consumable costs for the following subjects will be:

    Subject

    Cost per pupil

    Public Services £42
    Entry Level Provision (MLD/SLD) £52
    Agriculture £42
    Motor Vehicle/Built Environment £78
    Hairdressing/Beauty Therapy £122

Other costs associated with the provision, e.g., specialist kit/clothing, will also be charged to the school at cost price.

    NB: Consumables costs are non-refundable.

  • The College will normally invoice the School in two instalments, i.e., one in January (covering the period September to March - 70%) and one in May (April to June - 30%). This will spread the cost over two financial years for the school. For provision lasting one term, only one invoice will be raised. Alternatively, schools may request that one invoice is raised per year if this is preferable.

Where delivery is shared between two or more schools, the total delivery hours for the whole group will be divided by the total number of enrolled learners. Each school will then be billed proportionately based on the number of its enrolled learners within the shared group.

In circumstances where lessons are cancelled by the College due to CPD requirements, unforeseen campus closures, or other operational reasons, the billing will be adjusted to reflect the actual delivery provided rather than the planned hours. Where school staff provide cover due to College staff absence, the delivery hours will also be reduced accordingly to ensure schools are only charged for teaching delivered by the College.

  • Charged per pupil at £6,743 full time. Billing termly.
