I would thoroughly recommend Coleg Ceredigion’s level three business or public services courses as it’s an excellent and practical step towards any future career and equips you well with the skills needed in any walk of life.” Mia Bradley

Mia Bradley, a former business student at Coleg Ceredigion is currently training at HMS Raleigh to become a Royal Navy medic after passing out of her initial military training.

With a keen interest in business when she started college, Mia enrolled on the BTEC level three Extended Diploma course which is the vocational equivalent of three A-levels.

Mia always had an interest in joining the armed forces and she demonstrated their core values of discipline and teamwork throughout her two-years of studies which she finished last year.

Kevin Williams, Coleg Ceredigion business tutor at Aberystwyth campus said: “A true team player, Mia was dependable and organised and always brought a calm, supportive presence to group tasks, encouraging others while taking responsibility for her own role.

“During her studies, Mia also took part in a two-week Taith-funded work placement in Barcelona where she worked on a team tasked with expanding the social media presence of a company that manufactures water filters.

“She made an excellent impression on her hosts and her professional attitude, reliability, and hard-working nature were recognised by the employers she worked with, further highlighting her suitability for a career in a structured and disciplined environment.”

Mia’s quiet determination, maturity, and willingness to support others make her stand out. With her strong sense of purpose and commitment to personal development it is no surprise to see Mia progress and follow her ambition to become a Royal Navy medic.” Kevin Williams, Lecturer

Whilst at college, Mia was nominated for and won an Achievement of Excellence award, representing her study areas of business and public services.

Mia Bradley said: “Studying business at Coleg Ceredigion was a really positive and rewarding experience for me.

“The staff were friendly, supportive and approachable and nothing ever felt like too much trouble; they were always willing to help and genuinely wanted students to succeed.

“One of the highlights of the course was going to Barcelona for two weeks with public services students where we gained valuable experience and insight by working alongside others and seeing how businesses and the local emergency services operated.

“The time I spent at the college gave me the confidence to pursue my career as a Royal Navy medic for which I recently passed out.

“I would thoroughly recommend Coleg Ceredigion’s level three business or public services courses as it’s an excellent and practical step towards any future career and equips you well with the skills needed in any walk of life.”
