Application for College Travel Pass
New and returning students must apply for student transport every year. There is no carry forward.
Applying for a college bus travel pass is done during enrolment, there is no separate application form. If you haven’t been contacted about enrolment, please email admissions@colegsirgar.ac.uk to check on the status of your course application.
If you are a full-time further education learner and have already received your username, you can apply for transport at https://apply.colegsirgar.ac.uk/
College Contract Buses
- Routes / Times will be publicised on college website;
- If application is successful, learners will be issued with a travel pass;
- Temporary passes will not be issued;
- Provided students have applied for transport and meet the eligibility criteria then:
For college contract buses there will be a period during September when students can access these vehicles without showing passes. This limited period when the bus pass restriction is lifted will be advertised on the college App and on the Gateway. After that, #NoPassNoTravel will be in force.
Public Service Buses
- Students who would be eligible for student transport and allocated to public service buses will have fares reimbursed throughout a given period during September, provided valid bus tickets are submitted and will be subject to checks on approval, bus tickets and class registers. This limited period will be advertised on the college App and the Gateway. No other refunds will be approved. Claims can be made at Reception.

mytravelpass for 16-21 year olds who love cheaper travel (Welsh Government) The Welsh Government is funding cheaper bus fares for young people in Wales. Apply online for mytravelpass and then use it on the bus to receive a discount on the price of your ticket. New pilot project starting in September 2025 will give you £1 single tickets and £3 unlimited daily travel. More information https://mytravelpass.tfw.wales/

Learners with medical conditions, disabilities or learning difficulties may be eligible for taxi or bus provision, subject to relevant supporting evidence. These applications are considered on an individual case basis.
