This intensive course combines Level 2 and Level 3 content and is the fastest route to progress onto Level 4+ aesthetic training.
Through practical demonstrations and hands-on learning, you’ll build the core skills needed to succeed in advanced beauty courses and treatments.
You’ll learn about health and safety, skin analysis, client consultation, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and electrical science.
You will study the following mandatory units:
- Maintain health and safety in the salon
- Skin analysis and facial skincare
- Consultation and client care
- Anatomy, physiology and pathology.
- Electrical science.
By completing this course, you open the door to advanced Level 4 and 5 beauty courses in popular aesthetic treatments like chemical skin peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, HIFU, ultrasound, and micropigmentation. You’ll be ready to train in specialised areas that employers look for and stand out in the competitive beauty therapy industry.
Assessment includes theory exams, written assignments, and practical observation of treatments to ensure competency in both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
4 GCSE grades D and above (or equivalent) to include English Language/First Language
Welsh and Mathematics/Numeracy. Or a Level 1 Diploma in a related subject.
A practical skills test will also be undertaken.
All applicants will need a positive attitude and suitability for the course will be assessed at interview and throughout the induction period.
No prior beauty therapy training is required.

All learners are required to pay an administration fee of £25.00 prior to enrolment.
You will need to provide your own stationery, and may also incur costs if the department arranges educational visits.
