What you will learn
The main aim of the course is to prepare you to meet the changing needs of the built environment industry. The course is designed to teach current best practices whilst also equipping you to handle future developments and challenges.
The modular programme comprises five modules (a total of 120 Level 6 credits).
Modules in Year 1
- Construction Technology for Sustainable Buildings
- Construction Management Studies
- Construction Contract & Environmental Law
Modules in Year 2
- Integrated Group Project
- Independent Project (Dissertation - 8,000 words)
This course provides an opportunity for those wishing to progress in, or enter into, a range of construction related careers such as architectural technology, project management, building control, surveying, site management, maintenance and services.
Year 1 assessment will be through three module assignments, two examinations and one presentation.
Year 2 assessment will be through an integrated group project assignment and an 8,000 word dissertation.
Foundation degree, or HND related qualification subject to UWTSD regulations.
